Businesses urge early insight into historic 4000-day Games project pipeline

Queensland’s peak business body is calling for improved tender processes and swift clarity on what projects are in the pipeline ahead of the 2032 Olympics in the south-east, to allow the much-touted potential benefits of the Games to be fully realised.

With an 11-year head start under new International Olympic Committee processes, previously only offering host cities seven years to prepare, economic and tourism experts have also warned more immediate benefits flowing from the Brisbane 2032 buzz would likely be from publicity alone.
