Most of Brisbane's ferry services will be back in action from Thursday, some 90 days after the city endured its latest major flood event, although a third of its terminals still require repairs.

In February, days of heavy rain sent tonnes of debris down the Brisbane River, including some private pontoons that caused damage to the city's ferry terminals.

From Thursday, 13 terminals between Northshore Hamilton and Guyatt Park, St Lucia, would begin operating again.

"Just over 90 days ago, Brisbane experienced its biggest-ever rain event and our ferry terminals were impacted by debris and floodwaters," Brisbane City Council Lord Mayor Adrian Schrinner said.
